El Al, the Israel national airline, has taken delivery and placed in transatlantic service its new Boeing-704 jet airliner with a capacity of 108 passengers. The new plane brings El Al’s Boeing fleet to nine. The airline was reported today to be surveying prospects for a new service to South America either direct from Lydda or through a subsidiary airline operating from a European capital.
