Israel’s national air carrier, El Al, will continue its longstanding police of not flying on Shabbat, Transportation Minister Yisrael Kessar has said.
His statement Wednesday came amid word that the privatization of the airline could lead to a change in policy.
Kessar stressed that even if the majority of ownership in the airline goes to a private stockholder, the Shabbat policy would not change.
