The elections to the Assefath Hanivcharim (the Elected Jewish Assembly of Palestine), will take place on Monday, the Vaad Leumi declining to postpone the elections, as it has been urged to do by the Union of Sephardic Jews, A few changes will be made in the lists, however, in an attempt to meet the views of the Sephardim. The Farmers’ Union is calling its members to abstain from the polls, complaining that all its efforts to secure equitable representations have failed. Some of the outstanding colonists are standing for election, however, on other lists.
