An electronic fence warning system, developed by Israel Aircraft Industries, was displayed for the first time in the United States at the American Society for Industrial Security Seminar (ASIS). A working model of the system featuring both civilian and military type control units, was demonstrated to hundreds of government, military and Industrial security specialists who are attending the three-day seminar devoted to the latest techniques in security methods. The seminar ended today.
Officials of IAI announced that more than $5 million in export sales of the warning system has been achieved since commercial sales were initiated several months ago. Displaying of the fence at the ASIS meeting marked the initial attempt to market the fence in North America.
One of the main features of the fence, which is now in use in Israel, is that when an intrusion occurs, the exact location is pinpointed on a master control panel. In addition, the electrical portion of the system can be easily and quickly added to any existing wire or chain link fence, thus greatly reducing installation costs. The warning system has been designed to meet applicable military standards and specifications.
ATTENTION: There will be no Bulletin dated Sept. 26 and 27 due to Yom Kippur.
