The America-Israel Cultural Foundation reported today that 43 violoncellists from 12 countries have thus far qualified for participation in the third Pablo Casals International Violoncello Competition to be held under the Foundation’s auspices in Israel. Eleven of the entrants are from the United States. The competition will open at Tel Aviv September 23.
