Elihu D. Stone, prominent Zionist leader in New England and one-time Assistant U.S. Attorney, died here yesterday at the age of 65.
Mr. Stone had been a vice-president of the Zionist Organization of America and chairman of the Z.O.A. executive as well as president of the New England Zionist District for 13 years. Born in Meretz, Lithuania, Mr. Stone came to the U.S. at the age of 18 and studied law in Boston. He served in the Massachusetts state legislature and for 12 years was a Federal prosecutor.
