The Emerson Radio and Phonograph Corporation may soon establish the first radio manufacturing plant in Israel, Benjamin. Abrams, president of the company, revealed here yesterday at a press conference. He added that the project is still in the discussion stage.
Mr. Abrams, treasurer of the Joint Distribution Committee, has just returned from a trip to Israel end various European countries. Commenting on what he saw during his tour, he said that Israel was the most promising area for business of any he had seen. He cited the abundance of skilled technicians and the wage rates as factors which make Israel a favorable location for a radio plant.
