Emigration Bank Planned, Stockholm Hears

The Svenski Dagbladet reported today that Jewish financiers in Sweden and Poland were preparing to found a bank in America to facilitate Jewish emigration from Germany and Poland. The banker Olaf Aschberg was to leave today for Paris for negotiations on the plan, from where he is to leave for New York on Jan. 18. The scheme will be placed before a number of governments for official backing, the report said. The main offices of the bank would be in Poland and the United States.
