The objects of the Emir Abdullah’s visit to London this June are said to be in connection with changes in the British-Transjordan treaty so as to increase the independent sovereignty of Transjordania; to seek a loan for agricultural relief in view of the famine-stricken position of farmers; to endeavor to reverse the British Government’s decision for disarmament of the Bedouin tribes who are afraid of incursions from neighboring desert territories where disarming would not be enforced, and to conclude negotiations in connection with boundary demarcation.
As for Palestine, it is learned that the Emir will use the opportunity to present Palestinian Arab demands on the present British policy, notably Jewish immigration and Jewish land purchases.
The Pan-Arab Federation, an organization embracing all Arabian countries, is said to have been discussed at the recent meeting of the Emir Abdullah with Palestine Arab leaders, when Thsan Bey Jabari, Syrian leader living at Geneva, was also present.
