In a book, “Talmudic Judaism and Christianity,” the Anglican divine declares that “the discussion of the many subtle points of the Talmud encouraged mental vigor,” among its students.
The work in general is chiefly concerned with the question whether the Judaism of the Talmud is identical with that of Palestine in the first century of the Christian era.
