The fate of the entire Jewish population of the town of Sculeny, near Jassy, all of whom were deported in 1941, has now been disclosed, revealing that they were massacred to the last man.
All 600 were buried in three mass graves, an official investigation disclosed. Since it was impossible to separate the corpses, they have been re-interred in a common grave in the Jewish cemetery here.
