Ephraim Granstein, 72, of Chicopee, is dead here as the result of a sudden heart attack. He came to Springfield to attend to some business. At the time of his death he was rated as the largest tax payer in Chicopee. He was active in the Zionist movement and owned considerable land in Palestine. For some time he had been chess champion of Springfield.
