Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, British Secretary of State for Colonies, replying to a query in the House of Commons made by Barnett Janner, Jewish member of Parliament, declared that he was not aware of any suggestion that an airport be laid out near Tel Aviv in connection with the forthcoming Levant Fair.

The whole question of civil aviation in Palestine, the Colonial Minister said, is now receiving the attention of High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, who, it is understood, hopes to submit proposals in the near future for the establishment of an airport more conveniently located in regard to Jerusalem, Jaffa and Tel Aviv, than the present airport at Gaza.
