Eric Johnston, chairman of the United States International Development Board, arrived here late yesterday to appraise the effectiveness of the Point Four program in Israel and to examine ‘the possibilities for development through private capital investment as well as to ascertain whether such development can be accomplished by voluntary agencies.
Immediately after his arrival was received by Premier David Ben Gurion and later had dinner with a number of Ministers, high government officials and leading industrialists. Today he is touring the country visiting various installations, particularly industrial plants set up by Americans.
