Ernst Frischer, Czech-Jewish leader, was today appointed as the only Jewish member of the Czech State Council, the parliament of the Czech Government-in-exile. The appointment of Frischer, who is now in Palestine, was announced by the office of President Benes. Selection of Frischer, former leader of the Jewish party in pre-war Czechoslovakia from 1935 until its dissolution in February, 1939, and a member of the administrative committee of the World Jewish Congress, has been expected for several weeks.
