Esther Markish expressed her gratitude to the Jewish community of Mexico for its solidarity and moral help given to the struggle in behalf of Soviet Jewry. She was here last week as guest of the Central Jewish Committee, Kehilla Nidche Israel; Jewish women’s organizations and the Mexican Committee for Soviet Jewry. Speaking at a mass meeting Thursday at Kehilla Hall, the wife of the late Soviet Jewish poet, Peretz Markish underlined the importance of Jewish emigration from the Soviet Union to Israel. She came here from Sah Jose, Costa Rica, where she addressed a conference of Latin American intellectuals for Soviet Jews.
