Esther Wilenska, a former Communist Member of the Knesset, died here last night at the age of 57. Mrs. Wilenska served 14 years in the Knesset as member of the Constituent Assembly and then the second, third and fifth Knesset. Born in Poland, she came to Palestine in 1938. She joined the Communist Party and at a young age became a member of its central committee. Her first husband was Meir Wilner, who is now head of the Rakah Communist Party. She later married Tzvi Breitstein, a member of Maki Communist-Party, to which she also belonged. In recent years, Ms. Wilenska started the Israel Communist Opposition, an opposition group within Maki.
