The dramatic fragment “Esther,” by Franz Grillparzer, noted Viennese poet of the 19th century, will be the principal feature of a purim celebration being planned for the evening of March 1 by the Culture League of German Jews.
The play will be given at the Berliner Theater and will be directed by Fritz Jessner. Others taking part in the production are Dr. Kurt Singer, stage director, the Culture League Chorus, directed by Rosenstock, Fritz Jokl, soloist, and the Culture League Ballet.
