Europe should lead efforts to lure Syria into the Western fold, an Israeli Cabinet minister said. Tourism Minister Isaac Herzog said Monday that it’s premature to resume negotiations with Syria. Some Israeli politicians have advocated talks with Syria as a way of weakening Hezbollah, the terrorist group that launched the war with Israel last month and is a protege of Syria and Iran.
