An international conference on anti-Semitism will be held in Europe soon, Rev. W. Simpson, a leader of the British Conference of Christians and Jews, announced at a meeting here last night at which he reported on the first International Conference of Christian and Jews, held at Oxford recently.
He announced that he is leaving for Switzerland shortly to meet with leaders of the Swiss Conference who will probably make the arrangements for the European meeting. Simpson warned that the people of Britain were unaware of the progress made in the field of race relations in recent years and asserted that they must not neglect this aspect of international cooperation if they would ensure that “it couldn’t happen here.”
The current issue of the Peoples Post, organ of the Duke of Bedford’s British Peoples Party, reveals that the party is moving toward open anti-Semitism. Beside containing a number of anti-Jewish slurs, the Post also recommends to its readers a new edition of the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” notorious anti-Semitic forgery.
