The Conference of European Zionist Federations closed here this week-end after the adoption of a resolution condemning extremist activity in Palestine.
Another resolution voiced the Zionists’ thanks to the Soviet Union and other democracies for the support which they gave the Zionist cause at the special United Nations session on Palestine. The delegates also expressed solidarity with the Exodus refugees and denounced the White Paper policy. Finally, the conference called on the Jewish Agency to give the European organizations autonomy in the matter of funds raised on “shekel” sales, Zionist education and publicity and assistance to chalutzim and other trainees headed for Palestine.
A similar convention of Latin American Zionist organizations is expected to take place shortly. A European organizational office will also be established in Paris.
