Forty years ago this month the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, then the Palestine Symphonic Orchestra, played in Cairo under the baton of the late Arturo Toscanini. Now the Israel Philharmonic has suggested to Premier Menachem Begin that it hold a special concert in honor of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat if and when he comes to Israel. The Presidents of Israel and Egypt, the Premier and other dignitaries would be guests of honor.
