The Federation of Jewish Communities in Prussia has contributed the sum of 10,000 marks for research into the life and work of German Jewry, based on the official data of the census of 1925. The Jewish Community of Berlin has contributed a sum of 5,000 marks and other communities have contributed 1,800 marks. The total cost of the work through the Prussian Statistical Office is 21,000 marks.
The Academy of Jewish Science will carry out the research through its Commission for Statistics and Economics, under the direction of Professor Heinrich Silbergleit.
