A preview showing of “Faces of Israel,” an exhibition of sculpture by the late American Jewish sculptor Jo Davidson, featuring heads of Israeli leaders, was shown here tonight to a group of 100 sponsors of the exhibition. It will go on view to the public tomorrow at the Israel Exposition at Rockefeller Plaza.
The group of 16 pieces includes portrait sculpture of the late President Weizmann, the late Eliezer Kaplan, first Minister of Finance, Premier David Ben Gurion and Labor Minister Golda Myerson. The group of heads were made by Mr. Davidson during a two-month visit to Israel in 1951 and represents his last creative effort. The exhibition will be on view for at least a month.
