A poem specially written for the occasion was to be read by Mr. Markham. The poem is, “An American’s Challenge to Hitler.”
Both Prof. Einstein and Mr. Liepmann were expected to make brief speeches in answer to the tributes offered by the other speakers.
A short program of entertainment was to be featured by operatic selections sung by Mme. Lola Monti-Gorsi, soprano in the Hebrew opera, “Hechalutz.”
BANQUET COMMITTEE
The committee in charge of banquet arrangements for the Brooklyn Jewish Center were Mr. Gribetz, chairman; David Shapiro, treasurer, and Joseph Goldberg, secretary. Mr. Shapiro acted as Prof. Einstein’s host during the day prior to the dinner.
