The annual revenue of 1,750,000 pounds ($980,000) provided by exit visas will not be lost when such visas are abolished shortly, the Finance Committee of the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, was told today.
A special exit tax will be imposed on departing Israelis to replace the lost revenue. Support for abolition of such visas was general at the committee meeting.
