Nathan Straus and Dr. Stephen S. Wise, candidates in the East Side district for the American Jewish Congress, polled the largest number or votes or any of New York’s candidates, says a statement by the Jewish Congress headquarters. Mr. Straus received 6,509 votes and Dr. Wise 6,075 votes.
A total of 35,000 votes were cast in New York and it is stated a total of 100,000 votes is expected from the country as a whole. While a few of the larger cities have already had their elections, in most cases they have been postponed until after the saummer.

Margulies. Judge Gibs Ab Goldberg, State Senator B Antin, Rabbi I.H. Leventhal, Rabbi. J. Levenson, Dr. J. Krimsky. Rev. H.Z, Masliansky and Judge J. S. Strahi.
