Construction is expected to start soon on a museum devoted to the life and work of the late Baron Edmond de Rothschild at Rishon-le-Zion, the first colony which the famed philanthropist and father of Jewish colonization in Palestine established in that country.
The museum will be divided into five wings. First of these will house documents dealing with the Baron’s personal life and his work in Palestine. A second will trace the development of the Rothschild colonies; a third will be devoted to an exhibition of agriculture and industry; a fourth to the Hebrew language and the fifth to development of research in the country.
