The examination of the revolver owned by the late Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff by small-arms experts to ascertain whether the possibility exists that the bullet extracted from the body of the murdered man might have been fired from his own revolver was ordered today by Magistrate Ralph Bodilly, following a demand made by defense counsel Horace Samuels that the revolver be added to the official exhibits.
The prosecution opposed the demand, asking instead that the revolver be returned to Moshe Shertok, Jerusalem member of the executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, who presented the revolver to the court. Previous to his death, Dr. Arlosoroff had left his revolver with a friend in Tel Aviv. After the assassination the revolver was given to Mr. Shertok.
Pressed by defense counsel, Prosecutor Shitrit finally produced extracts from the diary of the police which read, “report received from Tel Aviv that Arlosoroff was shot at the seashore by Arabs.”
Examination of witnesses showed that it was possible for outsiders to have seen one of the accused, Abraham Stavsky, before they were brought in to identify him.
Three Revisionists, r wing Zionists, are accused of having murdered Dr. Arlosoroff, Zionist labor leader, on June 16, 1933. The accused are Aba Achimeier, Abraham Stavsky and Zvi Rosenblatt.
