An explosive charge in an incendiary bomb was discovered today in a bus a few minutes before it was timed to explode. The bomb was found in the bus in Rishon le Zion south of Tel Aviv. A suspicious parcel beneath the rear seat attracted the attention of one passenger who informed the driver. Police rushed to the scene and discovered a two kilogram bomb which could have caused significant damage and casualties. The bus had brought workers from the Gaza Strip to Tel Aviv and then made another trip to Rishon le Zion where the bomb was found. An investigation was immediately launched.
