A right-wing political figure is circulating an open letter here charging a “Jewish-Zionist” conspiracy to take over Argentina which, according to the writer, Jews already control to a large extent. The charges, strongly reminiscent of the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” were made by Beveraggi Allende, a former political science professor, in a letter to Jose Rucci, secretary general of the powerful Peronista General Confederation of Labor (CGT).

The letter was reproduced in leaflets widely circulated in Buenos Aires. It alleges that the CGT is already in Jewish hands as part of a “Satanic plan of world Zionism” to Impose Marxism on the Peronist labor force.

According to Allende, “Jewish Zionists” control the finance, administration, trade unions, judiciary and armed forces of the country, a situation that amounts to the “genocide of our people.” He also claims that the “Jewish Zionist high command…has a plan to chop up our territory by establishing a ‘Jewish State’ in Patagonia (southern Argentina) Jointly with several Andean provinces.”

He claimed that a certain “Grand Rabbi Gordon” was in Buenos Aires in March, 1969, to outline the plan “to the leaders of the local Zionist organization,” Allende cited as evidence of a Jewish conspiracy the fact that Yom Kippur coincided in 1970 with the national census and in 1971 with a general strike so that banks which are “90 percent in Jewish hands” would remain closed.
