F. Bimko prominent Jewish and Hebrew writer in American periodicals, was attacked yesterday and seriously injured by hooligans when he arrived for a visit to the place of his birth, Kielce.
Mr. Bimko, who is the author of a number of plays and short stories which have been produced on the American Yiddish stage, and which have appeared in the “Morning Journal,” “Day,” “Zukunft” and “Hadoar,” recently left the United States for a visit to his birthplace.
Two of the attackers were arrested. It is believed the motive for the attack was robbery.
