The first group of eight young Falasha men and one girl to complete a course in Judaism, basic farming and hygiene was graduated today from Kfar Batya children’s village at Raanana. They spent three years studying in Israel.
Like the 28 other Ethiopian Jews still at the Raanana school, they will return to their country to act as teachers for the 20,000 black Jews. The teacher training plan in Israel for Ethiopian Jews has the approval of Emperor Haile Selassie.
