A farewell dinner and ball honoring Ambassador Yitzhak Rabin will be sponsored by the Greater New York Committee for State of Israel Bonds next Thursday evening at the Waldorf Astoria, it was announced by Samuel Neaman, committee chairman. Gov. Nelson A. Rockefeller will be guest speaker and Sen. Jacob K. Javits will be dinner chairman.
The event, which will also celebrate Israel’s 25th anniversary, will accord special tribute to Rabin on the completion of five years as his country’s ranking diplomat in Washington. City Comptroller Abraham D. Beame, treasurer of the Greater New York Committee for Israel Bonds, will inaugurate a major effort at the dinner to mobilize investment capital to advance the industrialization and agricultural development of Israel.
