Declaring that there has been ## great deal of misunderstanding between liberals and radicals concerning the Fascist movement, Alfred M. Bingham, editor of Common Sense, speaking on “Must We Go Through Fascism? at the Forest Hills Jewish Center, Stafford avenue and Kessel street, said that Fascism is “a natural revolt on the part of the middle classes against intolerable conditions in a time of crisis.”

The middle classes, with no clear objective or philosophy, are easily misled by demagogues who play on racial hatred and anti-Semitism, he asserted. “The only successful answer to Fascism,” concluded Bingham, “is an intelligent radical political movement which will not draw narrow working class lines but will include the middle classes in its appeal. If it is to be really constructive it must show the middle classes that their true interest lies only in ending the profit system.”

“All the news concerning Jews” is faithfully and promptly reported in the Jewish Daily Bulletin–the o n l y Jewish daily newspaper printed in English.
