The scheduled meeting of the fascist “Friends of Europe, “to have been held in London tomorrow, has been called off, due to the ban on the admission into England of Hans Rudel, a leading German neo-Nazi, it was announced today by Sir Oswald Mosley’s fascist Union Movement.
Rudel was banned from entering England last week by Home Secretary R.A. Butler, after an inquiry on the subject in the House of Commons by Barnett Janner, Laborite Member of Parliament. Meanwhile, Marleybone Town, which has jurisdiction over the auditorium booked by the fascists for the meeting, canceled the permit for the session. Other European fascist leaders had originally been scheduled to appear at the rally, in addition to Rudel.
