Efforts by a Jewish Daily Bulletin reporter Friday to learn what was behind the battle between Samuel Orbach, of 202 Henry street, and his fifteen-year-old son, Abraham, resulted in the discovery that the father is of orthodox persuasion—a startling development in view of the parent’s determination that Abraham shall not become a rabbi.
For three years a high-ranking student at the Tifereth Jerusalem Yeshiva, on East Broadway, Abraham three weeks ago departed for Cleveland to pursue the studies for the career which is anathema to his father at the Orthodox Rabbinical Seminary. Abraham has been awarded an all-expense scholarship at the Ohio institution.
