A Federal jury has convicted three men and a corporation on charges of having conspired to violate United States neutrality laws by shipping planes to Israel during the Arab invasion. The jury, which acquitted three other defendants, recommended leniency in sentencing the defendants.
Convicted were Adolph W. Schwimner, president of Service Airways of New York, the firm involved in the proceedings; Ray Selk and Leon Gardner, both of Los Angeles. Acquitted were Herman M. Greenspan of Las Vegas; William Sosnow of New York; and Sam R. Lewis of Los Angeles.
