The Inter-American Comference of the World Federation for Polish Jews today voted to raise $1,000,000 for the construction of a special colony in Palestine for Polish Jews.
The conference, attended by 400 delegates, was addressed today by Dr. Ignacy Schwartzbard, former Jewish member of the Polish Parliament in Poland and in exile; Mark Turkow, of Argentina, president of the combined South American Federations for Polish Jews; Leo Finkelstein, of Poland, secretary-general of the Association of Yiddish Writers in Poland, and Mendel Fisher, executive director of the Jewish National Fund.
