The Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities will hold the first report meeting of its $500,000 twenty-fifth anniversary campaign tonight at the Unity Club, Bedford Avenue and Dean Street, beginning with dinner to be served at 6:30 o’clock.
Representatives of the more than ninety divisions in the Trade and Membership Council Federation’s money-raising organization, will make reports on their progress thus far in the drive, and announcement will be made of the money obtained up to date in the campaign.
County Judge Algeron I. Nova, chairman of the campaign, will preside, and former United States District Attorney George Z. Medalie is to be guest speaker. A. program of entertainment will follow the formal proceedings. Tonight’s meeting will be one of the most important of the early stages of the drive.
Judge Nova today announced organization of the Tobacco Products division in the Trade and Membership Council’s endeavor to expand the number of groups in its membership. Charles S. Greene is chairman and the executive committee includes William Baron, Samuel Beeker, Max Berliner, William Bloomrosen, Alexander Engel, M. Finkelstein, Joseph Gluckman, Samuel Goldberg, Israel Guffenberg, Jerome Klerfein, Charles Landau, Harry Polasnky, Kalman Sacks, Harry Shapiro, Samuel Wasserman, Jack Weinberg and Moe Weinstein.
