Bernhardt Feilchenfeld, honorary president of the Left Rhine Regional Federation of the Central Union of German Citizens of Jewish Faith and honorary president of the Jewish Welfare office of Cologne, died in Cologne at the age of 76. Active in all Jewish endeavors, he was particularly concerned in Jewish transmigration welfare work, and many thousands of transmigrants, particularly from Eastern Europe, who are now in the United States and other countries, owe to him the help received in shelter, food and funds for continuing their Journey.
