The Chilean military government has banned showings of the movie, “Fiddler on the Roof,” according to news reports reaching here from Santiago. Rear-Admiral Hugo Castro prohibited the release of the film after reportedly noting that the movie about the persecution of Jews in Czarist Russia contains “disruptive elements which assail harmony between Chileans,” His ban came after censors had passed it.
