Fifteen Moritz and Charlotte Warburg scholarships were awarded to staff members and students at the Hebrew University by Prof. Benjamin Mazar, University president. Each award is worth $1,000.
Prof. G. Scholem, chairman of the Institute of Jewish Studies at the University, who officiated at the ceremonies, said that the scholarships were now more important than ever before because of the great losses inflicted on the ranks of Jewish scholars by the Nazis.
