Lilyan Tashman, film actress, died yesterday afternoon at the Doctor’s Hospital on East End avenue and Eighty-seventh street.
Physicians declared that she had been in a serious condition since she underwent an operation about a year ago.
Miss Tashman was the wife of Edmund Lowe, the actor. “Wine, Women and Song,” her latest picture, is now on Broadway.
No funeral arrangements have been made yet.
Miss Tashman was born in Brooklyn where she attended Girls High School. Her latest picture, completed a few weeks ago, is “Frankie and Johnnie,” which has not been released yet.
