An overwhelming majority registered in the Kenesseth Israel the unified Jewish community of Palestine provided by the Palestine communities ordinance, according to final figures made public here.
The number who registered in the Kenesseth Israel total 89,985, as compared with 4,657 who favored separate communities as sponsored by the Orthodox world organization, Agudath Israel. Of the number who registered for the unified community, 23,945 were in Jerusalem, 29,336 in Tel-Aviv and 10,059 in Haifa.
