Final preparations are underway for the publication of the first Hebrew language daily newspaper in the United States. A spokesman for the Israel Daily Herald, Ltd., the company behind the new paper, said the first issue is expected to appear toward the end of November. The tabloid, which does not yet have a name, will start with a circulation of 50,000 copies, hoping to draw its main readership from the large Israeli community in New York and vicinity. It will not appear on Saturdays.
