Finance Minister Moshe Nissim announced a 320 million Shekel cut in his proposed budget for the next fiscal year, apparently ending the month-long debate on the issue. He made the announcement at the end of a meeting of the Ministerial Economic Committee at the Finance Ministry Sunday. The new budget retains an education tax and subsidy cuts. But a car tax in effect for the past two years will not be extended.
