Finance Minister Pinhas Sapir presented U.S. Ambassador Kenneth Keating with a detailed memorandum of Israel’s present economic position and the costs it had to bear for the Yom Kippur War. The memo is intended as background material against which Israel would like the U.S. Administration to consider its applications for economic aid for the 1975 financial year beginning this July. A copy of the memo will be presented by Israeli Ambassador Simcha Dinitz to Undersecretary of State-designate Joseph J. Sisco in Washington, and Israel’s economic attache there Zeev Sher will circulate it among senior economic officials in the Administration.
