Finance Minister Simcha Ehrlich called on the United Jewish Appeal to double its income this year to help implement a plan for a slum clearance project involving 45,000 housing units throughout the country. Ehrlich, who made this appeal during a meeting this week with a UJA delegation from Omaha, Nebraska, expressed his appreciation for the Intensified activities of the UJA throughout the United States. The slum clearance project, initiated by Premier Menachem Begin, is to be presented soon in the U.S.
