A discussion of the financial needs of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations was the principal feature of the annual meeting of the Board of Managers of Synagogue and School Extension held here. The possibility that the activities of this department may be curtailed as a result of the fact that the present funds of the organization are inadequate to meet the budgetary needs for the coming year, was brought before the attention of the delegates. Reports of the activities of the year just completed were presented by the secretary.
In order to develop a comprehensive program of activities for the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods. Arthur L. Rheinhart, newly appointed executive secretary of the organization, is endeavoring to ascertain the type of men who make up that organization. Mr. Rheinhart has sent out a questionnaire to the Temple Brotherhoods.
Among the questions asked are: What is the total membership to date? How many members between 18–30? How many members between 30–45? How many members older than 45? How many members are married? How many members are college graduates? How many members are professional men?
